Was the Movie Massacre in Aurora God's Judgement?

Where was God when this happened? Is God not powerful enough to keep things like this from happening? What is an appropriate response to suffering and death in the world?

Why pray to a God that isn't powerful enough to stop a killer? We will not answer all your questions. Is there any evidence of God's mercy in this event? Should we view good and evil as two entities battling things out for an ultimate victory?

Listen to this four-way discussion between Dwayne Smith, Joey Kellett, David McManus, and myself as we try to answer some of these questions.

  1. Concerning the Columbine reference: The girl you were thinking of was Cassie Bernall; who, despite the popular story that spread around, did not have that exchange with the killers (as attested to by the girl who was beside Cassie when she was shot, and by the girl who was actually asked that question by one of the shooters, but was not killed). http://www.lhup.edu/~dsimanek/salon.htm

So, as great of a story as it makes, it isn't entirely true. Though, as you mentioned, it did result in God being given some glory/attention, but that was based on an incorrect story all together.
